BAKE A CAKE BITCH!

Welcome to Business as Usual, the weekly segment on all that glitters.

IT’S A PIECE OF CAKE TO BAKE A PRETTY CAKE
You want to know how to make gold? I’ll tell you. This week my topic is raw materials or commodities. If you’ve ever wondered why the price of Ore fluctuates, then the new post at Warcraft Econ was written just for you.

Have a read and join the discussion here, Warcraft Econ – Understanding Commodities in the World of Warcraft.

Pyrite stockpiling is complete!

WHAT? YEAH!
I’ve mentioned before, I have two accounts I keep active. My second account is largely for storage, though I am in the process of leveling these characters as well. It’s more experience for my main guild bank and in the end more gold (more cooldowns). It even allows me to maintain a presence in trade chat and the auction house while raiding or otherwise occupied on Khaas. Indeed, there are a variety of advantages to having this second account active, but the main one is just flat out storage space. Though I am not using each character as a unique guild bank yet, I do already have several guild banks there, and will have more as the prospects of a new expansion loom larger on the horizon.

I started stockpiling Ore again, because I lost quite a bit when my third account was banned some months ago. Even so, I’m now back to capacity. I have been thinking more and more though about the possibilities presented by having a second account for storage purposes, ten characters each with a 6 tab bank. That’s a lot of room. Right now, I have several banks with specific stocking purposes. For example, I have one bank that is dedicated to Enchanting mats and scrolls. But I’ll be talking more about that in the near future. As work on my alt guide Keys to the Kingdom continues, I’m working on a third gold guide that is based on storage methods, information, and tips which should coincide with the release of the new patch and the addition of Void Storage.

Yes, busy busy.

THE BLOODSCALP REPORT
I’ve noticed a disturbing trend lately, people posting an item on trade chat and then commenting that the server is “dead lulz” immediately after. It should be noted, these people are posting generally around 9 AM on weekdays, when yes – the server IS pretty dead since most people are at work or school. But, I find it odd. Further, I wonder if they’re trolling or just that stupid.

Irregardless (love you Frost), Bloodscalp is not dead. The economy certainly isn’t, despite my stockpile spending I’m still bringing in considerable numbers. I’ve also started hunting for flippable items, and made a decent profit from it throughout the week. Tailoring saw a nice rise in profits this week, so far it seems the investment into capping the skill was money well spent. I also decided to take a dip into the Potion market, not a big splash or anything but it’s shaping up to be a solid earner on par with Tailoring with little in the way of upkeep. Without further dudes, here’s the breakdown…

THE MONEY SHOT
■ 3,000 – Alchemy
■ 20,000 – Flipping
■ 1,000 – Pets
■ 17,000g – Scrolls
■ 5,000g – Tailoring
■ 10,000g – Truegold

56,000g – TOTAL

That’s all for this week, thanks for reading…

Dead and Dying are two different things.

Although for the first time in years, I’ve seen the population down to “low”

Considering there was a que to get in when Wrath dropped, then yea, dying is the apt term.

@Warcraft Econ – I’m with you, this puts me at 24 tabs of Pyrite and 12 tabs of blue quality gems (2 for each color). So, I feel I’ve got my bases covered – assuming Blizzard gives us epic gems at all this expansion. Honestly, at this point I’m starting to wonder.
