WHEREIN, I BLAME THE SCHOOLS

Welcome to Business as Usual, the weekly segment on all that glitters.

THE LATEST AT WARCRAFT ECON
You want to know how to make gold? I’ll tell you. This week my topic is storage and how to maximize it. If you’ve ever wondered how to juggle tons of materials and goods then the new post at Warcraft Econ was written just for you.

Have a read and join the discussion here, Warcraft Econ – Thinking Inside the Box: Maximizing Storage.

PUSH BACK THE SQUARE
Things have been busy as will soon become quite obvious, and so please indulge me as I share a bit of the really real world before the weekly dose of gold.

The new school is actually pretty amazing really, more so when considered in relation to the schools I attended growing up. Being married to one of the teachers carries the advantage that as a substitute, I’m in high demand. I’ve got people penciling me in as far away as December. Since turning in all of my paperwork I haven’t had a day off, and I love it.

I’ve also reconnected with my father as I mentioned in a previous post, we’ve spent quite a bit of time with him lately including a camping trip over the Labor Day weekend. We didn’t get to stay as long as I would’ve liked, but it was really great getting to see my family, many of which I haven’t seen or spoken to much in the past decade.

Things are likewise moving full tilt with the guild, we’re waiting on the guild customization feature to change the name of the guild officially, however the new site and forums are already online. We’re recruiting to fill out our raiding roster and of course we’re always looking for more rabid PVPers. Long lost veterans of the guild are returning daily, but there’s still room for more! So, if you’re interested in getting in on the ground floor, check us out on the new site: Ðevastation!

I am officially prepared for Epic Gems.

THE BLOODSCALP REPORT
Confession time, I went a little spend crazy this time. I blame the schools, or more accurately I blame Stockpile. A couple of weeks ago, he issued a challenge. Play the AH with some balls. Well, I sacked up this week. I bought several guild banks (including a level 20 guild with 7 tabs) and power leveled Engineering and Bob knows what else. The result, I’m down – WAY down. But I’ve got a lot more breathing room when it comes to storage. Of course, what do you do when you see all these empty bank slots? Start filling them up of course!

I now have a level 19.5 guild that will become SRS Business with a namechange, and a level 14 guild that will become Business as Usual. Additionally, I have several assorted guilds over level 5 for various storage purposes. I spent a helluva lot this week, but I got a lot too. So, I’m not going to complain. Sadly, this weeks returns weren’t too great and compared to the expenditures… Well, let’s just say I’m not going to show any numbers this week. But check back next week when hopefully I’ll be showing a positive margin.

That’s all for this week, thanks for reading…

@Holywarrior – There’s no word yet on the guild customization services, whether they will cost real money (likely given Blizzard’s track record) how much if it does, etc. What we do know for sure, is that GMs are no longer doing name changes for guilds because of the imminent release of this feature. And the Warcraft Econ link should be working now.
