99 PROBLEMS…

In my previous post, I began to touch on some of what I think is causing Star Wars to go down faster then a fat chick on prom night. There are numerous things: I don’t claim to have everything that is plaguing the game down (because honestly I don’t have 6 or 7 months of time. I’m only half kidding) but here is the long and the short of it, complied in a list for simplicity’s sake.

■ NO MACROS: The Star Wars developers took a very public “No” stance on having them in game. While I personally think that is a terrible and misinformed decision, I can deal with it. My main problem though, and what really grinds my gears is how they are offering macros through the officially licensed Star Wars – The Old Republic Keyboard. The price? 250$.

To me, this is just hypocritical...

LONG AGO…

Like many of our readers, I was excited beyond all belief when I heard that Bioware was going to be making the new Star Wars MMO. Having loved the original KOTOR series on XBOX, I figured that this was a match made in heaven. Combining Star Wars, MMO, a mega-budget and a developer that I was fond of? Throw a little porn and booze in the mix and I’d probably never leave the house again.

I didn’t follow the games developments too closely – in fact I actively try to avoid doing this, simply because I never want to get overly excited/disappointed about a release before I actually have the chance to play it. I usually just checked in from time to time to see if there was a release date, or to get a feel for the CPU requirements.

Please tell us a little about yourself and your gaming experience.
My name is Keith, I’m a 30 year old with a wife, a mortgage, and a love for the game. I’m also known as Khaas, Death Knight of the Bloodscalp US server and main tank of the guild Face on Fire. I’ve been playing wow since Beta, though I hesitated to get the retail version of the game for a few months after release (I was mad that there were no DKs initially). Since then I’ve played every class before settling on my Death Knight, which I’ve been playing since release of Wrath...

Who are you and where do you come from?
My real name is Keith, I live in Arkansas. Most people however know me as Khaas the Insane, I am the guild leader and main tank of Face on Fire, one of the top guilds on the Bloodscalp US server.

I came over just before the first battlegrounds were released, several friends of mine from the EverQuest days were already playing. I dropped in for a visit one day and left with my own copy of the game.
