Goodies

A Good Day to Raid
Last night was a big night for both Face on Fire and myself, the guild finally took out the big baddie – the Lich King himself in 25 man. The fight, though difficult wasn’t really our problem. Our main issue was attendance, and though it still remains an issue the officers have been hard at work righting the situation. In particular I’d like to thank Frostvein for all his work recruiting and helping to separate the wheat from the chaff (no mean feat I assure you).

Anyhow, kill shot of LK has been posted on our guild site’s news page. It was a long hard road, and sadly some old friends didn’t make it through to the end. But we did it.

A Good Day for Me
As I said earlier, the LK Kill wasn’t the only good news. It was a big day for me personally as well, see yesterday was mine and my wife’s five year anniversary. I had originally intended to spend the entire day/night with her, however after Tuesday nights miraculous clear (11 bosses in just over 2 hours) my wife asked me how it went, I told her. Said we’d gotten some face-time with LK and I was sure the guild would nail his ass to the wall Thursday. So she said, “I want you to raid Thursday”. So since I was on vacation, we ended up spending all Wednesday together instead. Dinner, the museum, etc. It was a good day. And it reaffirmed how much I love this woman. It should also be noted that we’ve now officially owned our house for one year. I would not have believed I’d be a married homeowner 5 years ago, but it’s happened. We met and we knew immediately, we were married after knowing each other for only a month, but it’s always been a natural thing with us.

One woman I’ve never had to Photoshop…

A Good Day for Khaas
Yeah I even had a good time on Khaas! Since we killed LK of course I got some goodies (Sealed Chest from Lich King) which contained a variety of quest items, the result was the following:

+ Reins of the Crimson Deathcharger
+ Muradin’s Favor
+ Jaina’s Locket
+ Tabard of the Lightbringer
+ Sylvanas’ Music Box

Yeah they’re all cosmetic rewards, and I even had some inquiries about various items, in the end I decided to keep them all. I don’t really need to sell these to make gold… And then, something happened on Vent. An item I’d been on the hunt for was available on the Auction House. I logged over to my rogue to snatch the thing before anyone else could beat me to it. I was in luck, there it was… Reins of the Swift Spectral Tiger. I paid 125,000 gold for it without batting an eye. For those that read this blog you likely have some idea of how rare this thing is, but for further proof here’s an eBay listing of the thing [ link ]. All in all, I’m in a pretty good place right now. Thanks to my wife and Face on Fire for making this a great week. And thank you all for reading.

XOXO

Congrats! I wish one was for sale on my realm. Only thing I’ve seen lately is Jaina’s Locket going for 50k on the auction house. Almost bought it, but realized it will be useless in Cataclysm with Deepholm providing a portal to each major city.

Nice job! Thunderer, one of my co-hosts on castaclysm, sold his 60% mount for about 50k as well.

I actually have a question for you, and was wondering if you could reply via email. :P Maybe a little bit personal – I’m not sure if you’d like it asked on your blog, so I’m hoping you’ll toss me an email!
