THE BLESSINGS OF NURGLE

The last significant post I made was almost a month ago when I was showing off my first finished unit of Ogres and some characters/unit filler I had made for my Warriors of Chaos. What have I been doing in the meantime? Quite a lot actually, that last post was made at the start of Spring Break. I was excited because it meant a week with my wife home. It turned into a miserable couple of weeks as everyone in the house was sick, even the baby. Now, it’s weeks later and we’re all back to normal. The end of the school year is rapidly approaching and I’ve started yet another army.

In fact, I’ve done a lot of plotting and planning with regards t...

THE BOOKS OF THE NORTH

BOOK I: CHAOS ASCENDANT

FORWARD

In the snows of the northlands there is a place by the sea where a murder of crows can always be found wheeling in the sky. Amongst the tribes of the northmen, it is called the Abode of Ravens. This is the story of the men who call it home…

Time passed and in the year 2300 the family received their first visit from the Chaos G...

It has been several weeks since my last update, I have been preparing for the Shiloh Slaughter. This weekend I and all of my preparations were put to the test, so how did it go?

PREFACE

There are a few things I would like to get out of the way before we get into the meat of this thing, for starters this will be a somewhat abridged review of the weekend in general. I do have notes that I will be using to write up Battle Reports from my five games, but that will be later. Those will likely be presented individually as I intend to go into them in some detail. Additionally, I’d like to thank Brian Preece of T Shirt Explosion and the volunteers that worked so hard to make this a great weekend. And last, but certainly not least – I’d like to thank my opponents...

THIS WEEK

This week, I got only one model finished – but it’s a big one. I’ve been toying with the idea of making a modular Warshrine for some time, the idea being that I could add whatever mark I wanted on the fly. Since I recently got involved in using magnets on my models I felt I could accomplish my goal pretty easily with a little planning. So, this week I ordered the requisite parts to create two modular shrines and some other goodies I’ve been wanting to add to the horde.

THE PROJECT BOX

I’ve got several different plastic boxes I use to sort bits throughout my hobby area, some have dividers for sorting smaller more commonly used pieces...
