The Exodus, part 4

On August 1st we had a fully loaded moving truck and packed it all into the dining room of the new house. As I write this, there’s a mound of boxes waiting to be unpacked and still work to be done to the rest of the house. We’ve taken this week off though, I got very sick and have been largely bed ridden. However, this week I’ll be back in action. I’m not entirely sure where the camera is so I don’t have any pictures to show atm but suffice it to say there WILL be pictures of the finished work once it’s all done. The master bedroom and living room are both basically done, I want to replace the ceiling fan in the living room however. It’s the cheapest looking white and black fan I’ve ever seen, and the pull switches don’t work on it. In both rooms I need to do some touch up painting, and the trim work will need to be done once the rest of the house is ready. It ended up taking several coats of the burgundy paint in the bedroom to get it just right. But now it looks great. More coming soon…

Goals for the Week:
Brandy’s Office – Walls and floors need to be prepped, walls painted and floors put in.
The yard – We’ve gotten torrential downpours since we moved here, this week the rain finally stopped. The yard was shabbier than I’d like when we moved in, now the grass has gone uncut. This week I intend to start whipping it into shape.
Electrical fixed in kitchen.
Oven fixed in kitchen.

List of Things Left:
My Office – Floors, Paint, desk needs to be refinished
Kitchen & Dining Room – Plaster and Paint, floor and cabinets in kitchen.
