WORK SONG

Welcome to Business as Usual, the weekly segment on all that glitters.
BACK IN THE SADDLE
My first week back (more or less) in the Auction House, I say more or less because this week I still had some outside concerns keeping me from peak performance. That said, it was still a good week for me. The trouble with taking a break really is getting started again, with a major content patch coming out just before my return you might think I was at a disadvantage. And to be frank, I was.
I was gone for over a month, and didn’t get a chance to play with the PTR. Moreover, I didn’t have internet access the entire time – which put me behind the competition in terms of preparedness. The good news is that business as usual still works. People are still buying gems, people are still buying enchants, etc. So, though margins may be slimmer than I’d like I’m still pulling respectable numbers. So, I’m not going to complain…
THE BLOODSCALP REPORT
As stated earlier, margins are slimmer. The profession changes from patch 4.2 didn’t really do a whole lot to the way I do business, other than now I have consolidated all gems/metas to one character. Having cut gems stack makes SUCH a huge difference when you’re talking about storage space.
THE MONEY SHOT
■ 1,000g – Pets
■ 7,000g – Scrolls
■ 13,000g – Gems & Metas
■ 1,000g – Tailored Goods
■ 3,000g – Truegold
25,000g – TOTAL
That’s all for this week, thanks for reading…

In the immediate aftermath of the patch, Truegold dropped and still hasn’t completely recovered. I’ve been faithfully transmuting at least one daily (sometimes up to 3 if I have the excess volatile air to allow for it), but haven’t been even trying to sell at the current market values.
Likewise, the cost of savage leather by and large has made it assinine to even consider trying to flip the leather to pristine hides – so I’ve been stockpiling pristine hides as well.
My question: Do you think that once people start unlocking these Fireland vendors, the demand for these items will pick back up again?
Thanks for your thoughts!
